Youth Exchange – Inward

Discover Ireland Youth Camp 2023

Lions Club Ireland – District 133 invite young people aged 16 – 20 years to participate in the Youth Camp Exchange (YCE) programme each summer.

The Discover Ireland Youth Camp will take place from Saturday 17th June – Saturday 1st July 2023 and there are 20 places available. The programme will consist of ten nights in Waterford and four nights in Dublin, both in student accommodation.

The Youth Camp will provide the opportunity to meet other young people from around the world, to get to know them, to work together, to practice speaking English, to serve others, to experience different foods from around the world and learn about life of young people from other countries, to share, to build your confidence, to accept differences, to build long lasting friendships, to get to know and see some of Ireland.

Feedback from last year’s Youth Camp

“We made lifelong connections between participants and I can say that this experience transformed me and I was full of beautiful emotions and discoveries.  Thank you for allowing me this unique adventure in a truly endearing country and I will remain a convinced ambassador of the value of Lions. I Think that your confidence in us, the young people should serve as an example”.     (Young Person)

“It is a great need for us to thank all your Lions friends for the warm welcome my son received from the moment he arrived in Ireland until he came back home.  He is full of enthusiasm and joy.  He reported a great programme and the fantastic cooperation between tall the young people.” (Parent).
